Duncan is a founding partner of Platt Rushton, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant back in 1984.

He specialises in advising small and medium sized enterprises on accounting, payroll and tax compliance matters. He also has a large portfolio of personal tax clients, meaning he regularly gets asked for capital gains tax advice and tax efficient pension contribution planning.

Duncan is actively involved as a Trustee of the South Essex Society of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Board of ICAEW Local Network Essex.

Duncan is known for his adventurous holidays, which have included reaching high altitudes in the Himalayas, setting foot on the North Pole in 2001 and several trips to Antarctica. However, his main labour of love is following the trials and tribulations of Southend United. He and his wife enjoy music and are always on the lookout for must see gigs.
